Egypt’s Minister of Tourism Hisham Zazou said the local tourism sector achieved record growth in the past six months, which confirms the success of the government’s plans and efforts.
This sector grew by nearly 76.7% in July, compared to 20% in the same month of 2013, the Minister said.
The number of tourists soared by 193.5% in September compared to a year earlier, according to Ahram Online.
Zazou also unveiled about a strategy mapped out by the ministry currently to boost the Nile tourism in cooperation with the private sector.
