According to a statement issued by the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI), a total of $172.19 million was sold at a price of IQD 1166 per dollar in its auction held on Tuesday.
It is worth noting that 16 banks participated in the CBI’s currency auction.
The amount sold in cash amounted to $62.74 million, while the amount sold as remittances reached $109.44 million, reported the statement.
