Sharm El-Sheikh – Mubasher: The Sultanate of Oman will provide $500 million in financial aid for Egypt’s economy, which will be sent over five years, announce Omani prime minister Yahia bin Mahfouz Al Manthiry.

In a speech delivered before Egypt’s economic summit that kicked off Friday, the prime minister reiterated his country’s support for Egypt.

Egypt seeks foreign direct investments of around $8-10 billion annually. The country’s FDI amounted to $1.8 billion in the first quarter of the current fiscal year 2014/2015, compared with $0.6 billion in the fiscal year 2013/2014.
