Sharm El-Sheikh – Mubasher:  The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) is not currently in talks with UAE telecom telecom operator Etisalat over listing its Egyptian subsidiary, said the EGX’s chairman, Mohamed Omran.

“There are no current negotiations with Etisalat and we are awaiting a final decision as regards going public on EGX,” Omran told Mubasher exclusively Sunday on the sidelines of Egypt’s economic summit in Sharm El-Sheikh.

The UAE telecom firm said in August 2014 that it was considering an initial public offering for 66%-owned Etisalat Misr on the local stock market, noting that it has not reached a final say on the move.

It was reported earlier that Etisalat was gearing up for the biggest IPO on Egypt’s bourse in five years with an offer of more than $550 million.

Meanwhile, Omran said that talks are underway with Integrated Diagnosis Holding Co. on floating shares on the EGX.
