Cairo-Mubasher: The European shares closed higher on Friday, boosted by the positive financial results of major companies. Meanwhile, the US shares reached fresh record level.

The Euroforest 300 rose 0.4% to reach the 1,626.83 level. The German's DAX gained 0.7% and Greece's ATG climbed 3.4%, as German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Friday she hopes that Greece can get reach a deal quickly but stressed Athens must show willingness to undertake reforms.  

The FTSE 100 edged up 0.24% and France's CAC was up 0.4%.

As for the US stock markets, the Dow Jones Industrial Index added 0.12% or 21.52 points to 18,080.21 points and S&P 500 advanced 4.78 points or 0.23% to 2,117.71 points. Nasdaq Index also inched up 0.71% to 5,092.09 points.
