Iraq exchange closed in the red area Tuesday amid weak performance for most blue-chips stocks in the banking and telecom sectors.
ISX, the main benchmark stock index, dipped 0.16%, with turnover hitting IDN 1.07 billion, while volume stood at 657.97 million shares.
Out of 40 companies traded, 10 surged, 13 dipped, and the least were unchanged.
Al-Khazer for Construction Materials was the best performer, gaining 4.76%, while Sumer Commercial Bank was the worst, shedding 9.47%.
Gulf Commercial Bank was the most active by value and volume, with its share’s price falling 0.93%.
