Iraq receives two drones to protect oil installations
Iraqi Oil Minister disclosed receiving two drones, out of ten, to protect oil installations.

He added that contract was signed with the Chinese PetroChina oil company, which shall contain high density cameras.

Special administrative base was allocated for these drone in Basra, the minister reported.

This is the first time that Iraq uses drones for its southern oil installation.

Before two years, Iraq announced its desire to buy US drone with expectations to operate them at the end of 2012, but no details were given.

Iraqi oil installations, particularly in the northern areas, suffered more than 50 sabotage operations during the past year, according to official statements.
