Baghdad-Mubasher: Iraq’s Oil Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi said that the oil exports are expected to hit a record of 3.1 million barrels per day (bpd) in April as the production from the southern fields stays strong, according to Biamunir News Agency.

The minister noted that the average of oil exports reached 2.98 million bpd in March.

Despite the record production, Iraq's oil exports are still below the 3.3 million bpd which is targeted in 2015 budget.

The minister went on to say that he does not see any indications that the OPEC will cut crude output anytime soon despite burgeoning spare supplies in both the United States and China.
