Oman to see $65 bln construction contracts in five years
Arecent report has revealed that it is expected that the construction sector in the Sultanate of Oman will be awarded contracts worth $65 billion, reported Al Zaman newspaper, adding that this figure is twice the value of awarded contracts during the previous five-year plan, which had amounted to $33 billion.

The Omani market is set to see a fundamental transformation over the coming five years, during which the Sultanate will implement a number of strategic projects that will cause major changes in the country in the said five years, reports by Business Monitor International and Middle East Economic Digest revealed.

Planned and ongoing projects for Oman account for six percent of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) project market.
