Well - informed source at Kuwait's Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) revealed that the total value of Kuwaiti direct investments abroad amounted to KWD8.1 billion.

The geographic distribution of the source of FDI outside Kuwait is concentrated in 10 countries, top of which Saudi Arabia with investments amount to KWD2.1 billion are representing around 17.8% from Kuwait's total Direct Investments abroad.

Iraq came in the second level with KWD919.1 million investments (11.5%) , followed by Bahrain with KWD800 million investments (10).

Tunis accounted for 10% with KWD572 million investments so as to stand in 4th rank; Jordan came in the 5th rank with KWD444 million investments.

Meanwhile , Turkey , Sudan , United Kingdom and Egypt have tailed the list with investments amounted to KWD423.6 million ,KWD358.2 million , KWD305.7 million and KWD297.4 million respectively.

However ,Kuwait's Direct Investments abroad stake in equity shares across sectors were for fronted by telecommunication companies with KWD2.5 billion investments , followed by banks with KWD2.1 billion investments , Investment companies with KWD1.2 billion , Industrial companies with KWD66.3 million , Insurance with KWD58.4 million , Real Estate with KWD25.1 million , Funds with KWD10.3 million and finally Services providers with KWD300 thousands.
