Oman’s NAPCO signs contract with European supplier for new extrusion presses

The National Aluminium Products Company (NAPCO), one of the leading extruders of aluminium profiles in the GCC, has announced signing a contract with a leading European supplier for two extrusion presses. This agreement comes in line with its aggressive plans to increase its production. Moreover, this partnership will guarantee that the presses are made according to the company’s specifications with a capability to handle various profile sizes.

The state-of-the-art extrusion presses feature intelligent control systems with sophisticated man-machine interface, tool management, block reports, production control, computer connection, and practical technology software, NAPCO’s statement highlighted, adding that civil works for both extrusion presses have already begun with the first press to be operational by August 2015 and the second one to be fully functional by December 2015.

Commenting on the agreement, NAPCO Board Chairman Sayyid Wasfi Jamshid Abdullah Al Said stated “NAPCO currently boasts of a production capacity of between 18,000 and 20,000 metric tonnes. We are aiming to increase our capacity to address increased demand for NAPCO products and our deal for two new extrusion presses is in line with this. The benefits of the new presses include high productivity, easy availability, and excellent sectional quality.”
