The Palestine Exchange (PEX) closed on Monday at 492.98 points, inched up 0.24% or 1.19 points. The general index gained 0.29% or 0.77 points to 263.15 points.
Trading volume reached 372,392 shares, at a turnover of around $904,867, traded through 172 transactions by 18 companies, of which ten gained, four dropped and four remained unchanged.
On the sectors level, the industry and the investment indices added 0.90% and 1.87% respectively, while the banking and financial, and the service indices fell 0.18% and 0.13% respectively. The insurance index remained unchanged.
The top three gainers were Global Com Telecommunication by 12.5%, the Vegetable Oil Industries Co by 4.9% and Nablus Surgical Center by 4.4%.
Meanwhile, the top three decliners were the National Carton Industry Co by 2.06%, Palestine Electric Co by 0.93% and Palestine Telecommunications by 0.9%.
