Qatari Muntajat opens 10 new marketing offices
Qatar Chemical and Petrochemical Marketing and Distribution Co (Muntajat) has opened 10 new marketing offices in nine different countries, including Karachi for the kingdom’s chemical, polymer and fertiliser products, the company said.

The new offices are located in Casablanca, Morocco; Colombo, Sri Lanka; Dubai, UAE; Mumbai, India; Guangzhou and Shanghai, China; Bangkok, Thailand; Manila, Philippines; Jakarta, Indonesia; and Karachi, Pakistan, the company said in a statement.

The newly established offices will market and promote Muntajat products in the respective countries where they are located, with some also tasked to serve neighboring markets.

The Casablanca office will serve Morocco, Algeria, Mauritania and Tunisia.

The Colombo office will serve the markets of Sri Lanka and Maldives, while the Mumbai office will service the Indian, Nepali, and Bhutanese markets and the Karachi office will serve Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The offices in Guangzhou and Shanghai will cater to customers in China, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan.

The new offices expand the global reach of Qatar’s chemical products, adding to Qatar Chemical and Petrochemical Marketing and Distribution Co presence in Australia, Malaysia, Jordan, South Africa and Turkey.

Doha-based Muntajat, which was launched in the second half of 2012, holds exclusive rights to purchase, market, distribute and sell Qatar’s chemical and petrochemical regulated products to the global market.

The company holds mandate to export 10m tonnes of Qatar’s chemicals and petrochemicals to worldwide markets.

Muntajat represents nine production companies: Qatar Fuel Additives Company, Qafco, Qatar Petrochemical Company, Qatar Chemical Company, Q-Chem II, Qatar Vinyl Company, SEEF Limited, Qatofin Company Limited and Ras Laffan Olefins Company Ltd.
