Qatar's regulators cut minimum capital for SME listing to QAR2m
Qatar's Capital market regulators issued a new resolution where they reduced the minimum capital requirement for listing SMEs to QAR2 million from QAR5 million.

This new requirement will be applied on the companies to be listed on the upcoming venture market.

The venture or junior stock market for small and medium-sized enterprises is expected to be operational by 2015.

Meanwhile, the Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA) issued recently amendments to some provisions of its Decision Number 2 of 2011.

At the time of listing, companies must have the nominal value of its shares half-paid. And companies must also appoint consultants for a year from the date of application for listing, noted a press statement issued by the QFMA.
