Doha-Mubasher: Qatar Exchange (QE) deepened its losses on Monday, recording its fourth successive decline.

The index lost 1.70% or 203.04 points to reach 11761.11 points, hitting the lowest level since 22 January.

The telecoms sector led losers by 2.54% as Vodafone Qatar and Ooredoo lost 2.92% and 2.41% respectively.

The transportation sector tailed the decliners list, falling 0.79%, due to a decline in Qatar Navigation and Qatar Gas Transport by 1.19% and 0.60% respectively.

Qatar International Islamic Bank was the top decliner by 8.59%, while Ezdan Holding Group was the least loser by 0.13%.

Trading volume reached 7.6 million shares, at a turnover of QAR 380.5 million, traded through 5138 transactions.

Vodafone Qatar was the most active company with a trading volume of about 1.19 million shares that changed hands at QAR 20.39 million.
