QE falls to one-year low

Doha-Mubasher: Qatar Exchange (QE) declined to its lowest weekly level since 21 March, 2014, weighed by low liquidity and geopolitical events in the region.
QE index lost 113.01 points to reach 11,410.76 points this week compared to 11,523.77 last week.
The transportation sector topped decliners by 2.31% as Qatar Gas Transport Limited and Qatar Navigation fell 4.10% and 1.19% respectively.
The insurance sector led gainers by 1.18%, backed by a rise in Qatar Insurance Co and Al Khaleej Takaful Group rose 5.13% and 0.23% respectively.
Trading volume reached 38.7 million shares, at a turnover of QAR 1.79 billion, traded through 25052 transactions.
Commercial Bank of Qatar was the major dragger by 16.10%, while Qatar Insurance Co topped gainers by 5.13%. 
Vodafone Qatar was the most active company with a trading volume reaching 4.89 million shares at QAR 85.68 million. 
Meanwhile, Industries Qatar was on top of chart with turnover reaching QAR 237.8 million through trading 1.8 million shares.
