QE resumes downward trend after 2-session rise

Doha-Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) resumed its bearish performance after two-session rise.

QE index lost 0.73% or 86.88 points to 11,892.95 points. QE index Al Rayan Islamic index inched down 0.45% to reach 4,500.31 points, whereas QE All Share index declined by 0.58% to 3,177.85 points.

The telecom sector topped draggers by 0.93%, while the consumer goods and services sector was the least decliner by 0.19%.

Meanwhile, the transportation sector led gainers by 0.92%, followed by the insurance sector at 0.07%.

Vodafone Qatar was the major loser by 2.35%, while Gulf Warehousing Company was the top riser by 8%.

Trading volume reached 7.9 million shares, at a turnover of 273.435 million, traded through 4022 transactions.

Vodafone was the most active company with a trading volume reaching 2.04 million shares at a turnover of QAR 35.97 million, while Gulf International Services was the value leader, upon generating QAR 43 million from exchanging 502,000 shares.
