Doha-Mubaber:  Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed in the green on Tuesday, gaining 0.14% or 17.33 points to reach 12,209.54 points.

QE index Al Rayan Islamic index advanced 0.08% to reach 4,645.21 points, whereas QE All Share index added 0.11% to 3,259.27 points.

The index broke above 12,020 points to target 12,240 points, financial market analyst Rakan Alotaibi said, adding that the support level stands at 12,050 points.

The insurance sector topped gainers by 1.30%, followed by the transportation, banks and financial services by 0.53%, 0.18% and 0.08% respectively.

The consumer goods and services led losers by 0.40%, followed by the real estate and telecom sectors at 0.08%.

Qatar Insurance Company was the best performer risers by 2.03%, while Doha Insurance was the top loser by 1.73%.

Trading volume reached 7.2 million shares, at a turnover of QAR 326.6 million, traded through 4,534 transactions.

Barwa Real Estate was the most active company with a trading volume reaching 1.5 million shares at a turnover of QAR 77.8 million.
