TASI declines 0.19% on cash-ins, turnover continues rising
Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) fell 0.19%, or 18.41 points, to close Monday above the 9600 level at 9617.76 pts.

Technical analyst Abdullah Al-Jabali said the index is currently heading towards the 10000 level, adding that the liquidity levels show selling pressures, which is considered normal at the end of the reporting season and cash dividends.

Turnover increased 0.38% from SAR 11.15 billion to SAR 11.12 billion. Today’s turnover is 5.12% higher than the weekly average of SAR 10.66 billion and 18.10% above the monthly average of SAR 9.48 billion.

Trading volume declined 0.20% from374 million shares to 373.4 million shares. Today’s trading volume is 8.09% higher than the weekly average of 345.4 million shares and 18.71% above the monthly average of314.5 million shares.

Sector roundup

Ten sectors headed south, led by Hotel & Tourism which dipped 1.28% and Energy which fell 1.24%. Meanwhile, five sectors headed north, spearheaded by Retail and Building & Construction which rose 1.15% and 0.45% respectively.

Stock performance

Losers outnumbered gainers by 85 to 61, while the remaining stocks kept flat.

Wataniya was the top gainer of the day, rocketing 9.97%, followed by Arabian Shield (+8.60%) and Aslak (+7.06%).

On the black side, Al-Sagr Insurance recorded the biggest decline, taking a dive of 9.32%, followed by Shaker (-7.50%) and Alujain (-5.07%).

Dar Al-Arkan was the most active by trading volume and turnover, after 69.57 million shares were exchanged at a total value of SAR 887.2 million.
