Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) closed in the red for the second straight day, losing 0.63% or 60.31 points to 9546.27 pts.

More than 478.7 million shares changed hands through over 191 thousand transactions at a turnover topping SAR 12 billion.

The market was hurt Wednesday by most sectors, including the Telecommunications; thus the benchmark closed below the 9600 level.

Sector roundup

Twelve sectors headed south, led by Telecommunications which dipped 1.92% and Hotel & Tourism which fell 1.71%.

Meanwhile, three sectors headed north, spearheaded by Insurance which rose 1.37%.

Stock performance

Losers outnumbered gainers by 94 to 59, while the remaining stocks kept flat. Bupa Arabia was the top advancer, rocketing 7.72%, followed by Printing and Packaging (+6.60%) and AXA (+5.98%).

On the black side, Saudi Paper recorded the biggest decline, falling 4.25%, followed by Aslak (-3.88%) and Enaya (-3.83%).

Saudi Zain, which dipped 2.90%, was the most active by trading volume and turnover, after 104.39 million shares were exchanged at a total value of SAR 1.067 million.
