Saudi Telecom Co. (STC) has extended its partnership with Ericsson to transform, expand and upgrade its network in Saudi Arabia on the second day at the GITEX, according to Arab News.
This partnership is aimed at catering to the high growth demand in Saudi Arabia for video and TV services.
STC and Ericsson will also collaborate in testing and evolving advanced ICT technologies, with focus on areas of small cells, indoor systems, and software defined networking.
Khaled Biyari, STC’s senior vice president for technology, operations and IT, said: “We always, seek to offer best experience for customers. Partnering with Ericsson will support us to deliver high quality connectivity both indoors and outdoors while expanding coverage to rural areas in the Kingdom.”
