Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) lost 1.28% or 130.41 points during the week October 26-30, to end at 10034.92 points, compared with 10165.33 points a week earlier.
The market capitalization decline to SAR 2.04 trillion ($545.2 billion), from SAR 2.07 trillion ($552.28 billion).
12 sectors moved lower led by transportation (-4.26%), followed by petrochemical industries (-3.45%) and hotels & tourism (-3.11%). Three sectors only moved higher topped by insurance (+3.04%), followed by agriculture & food industries (+0.88%) and industrial investment (+0.15%).
Traded volume declined 17.04% to 1.1 billion shares from 1.32 billion shares a week earlier. Traded value fell 16.18% to SAR 35.89 billion from SAR 42.8 billion. The number of transactions retreated 7.14% to 611.38 thousand from 658.3 thousand. The number of rising stocks fell to 63 from 156 and the number of declining stocks rose to 98 from 5.
Out of the 161 stocks traded during the week, 63 headed north, spearheaded by Arabia Insurance (+28.39%), then Al Khodari (+10.88%) and Medgulf (+10.68%).
On the negative side, 98 stocks headed south, led by Dallah (-11.33%), followed by Sahara (-8.83%) and Axa Cooperative (-8.77%).
