Saudi Tadawul offsets Sunday’s gains weighed by banks
Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) ended Monday’s session with a fall by as much as 1.17% or 110.88 points to 9404 points.
Traded volume amounted to more than 231 million shares, while turnover exceeded SAR 7.7 billion and number of transactions reached 138.7 thousand.
Sectors collectively headed south, led by insurance (-3.85%), then multi-investment (-2.55%) and industrial investment (-1.86%.).
Banks and financial services also went down 1.13%, while petrochemical industries shed 0.75%.
Tracking stock performance, 19 stocks moved up and 139 others moved down. Wafa Insurance was the top gainer (+9.88%), followed by Arabian Shield (+3.28%) and SAIC (+3.08%).
Meanwhile, Al Khodari was the biggest loser (-9.90%), followed by Malath Insurance (-9.82%) and Medgulf (-9.66%).
Alinma Bank was the top active with turnover reaching SAR 794.439 million. It was followed by Solidarity with SAR 736.009 million and giant petrochemical producer SABIC with SAR 711.041 million.
Alinma was also the most active with traded volume amounting to 33.614 million, followed by Solidarity with 26.817 million shares and Dar Al Arkan with 10.604 million shares.
