Mubasher – Riyadh: Saudi Arabia is on track to open its stock market to direct foreign investment during the first half of 2015, said Mohamed Al Sheikh, Head of the Capital Market Authority (CMA).
Speaking during a conference held in Riyadh, which Mubasher covers as a media partner, the top official added that CMA is currently looking into comments received from the public.
"We announced way back that in the first half of 2015, which is until the end of June, we would open up the market, and we are still on track,” said Al Sheikh.
He also said CMA will issue the final version for rules regulating the market opening to foreigners ‘very soon’.
