Further to Almarai announcement on Tadawul website on the 31st of December 2014, related to the latest developments about the fire incident in some of the bakery facilities in Western Bakeries, a wholly owned subsidiary of Almarai.

Almarai Company announces the receipt of an amount of SAR 250 million on 25th March 2015, as payment on account, from Arabian Shield Cooperative Insurance Company as part of the claim, pertaining to the fire damage to Western Bakeries Plant 1 and 3 in Jeddah on 9th October 2014. This payment on account is not in respect of a specific claim item, but intended only as a general on account payment until the full extent of claim is assessed and finalized.

This payment will be recorded through the balance sheet within the 2015 Q1 financial statements.

The company will report on further progress when appropriate.
