Oman – Mubasher: United Finance Company (UFC) announced in a filing to the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) that it received a letter from Al Omaniya Financial Services, which expressed its interest in exploring a possible acquisition or merger between the two entities.  

UFC recently reported a profit of OMR 4.9 million ($12.6 million) for the year ended 31 December 2014 compared to OMR 3.6 million ($9.3 million) in 2013, registering a profit rise by 36%.
