Cairo – Mubasher: Cairo-listed juice and dairy maker Juhayna Food Industries has formed a joint venture with Denmark's Arla foods, the company said in a bourse filing Thursday.

The venture will produce and distribute products like cheese, butter and infant formula in the local market, Juhayna added.

The company also said it will consider regional expansion through the new venture. Sales from the venture will start by October.

The venture, ArJu Food Industries, will be 51% owned by Juhayna and managed by Arla Foods.

Juhayna’s chairman, Safwan Thabet, said the new joint venture will help the company diversify its product portfolio and foray into new markets.
