Riyadh-Mubasher: The Saudi bourse's benchmark ended Tuesday in the positive territory, rising 0.77% or 74.44 points to reach the 9,810 level.

More than 263.9 million shares changed hands through over 140,000 transactions at a turnover exceeding SAR 8 billion.

Rounding up sectors, 12 rose, topped by the industrial investment and real estate development sectors which climbed 3.61% and 2.05%, respectively. Meanwhile, three sectors declined, led by the transport sector which dropped by 0.89%. The multi-investment sector also dipped 0.41%.

Wrapping up equities, risers outnumbered decliners 83 to 58. Ma'aden led the way in gains, rocketing 6.40% to SAR 47.90, followed by Aslak which climbed 4.82% to SAR 37.20.

On the negative side, Saptco was the biggest drag, falling 3.24% to SAR 67. Fitaihi had the second-worst showing, sliding 2.37% to SAR 27.60.

Ma'aden was the most active with a turnover of SAR 877.5 million. Meanwhile, Alinma Bank, which was up 0.33%, led in trading volume with nearly 24.3 million shares.
