QSE deepens weekly losses by 4.35%

Doha-Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) deepened its losses for the second week in row, falling 4.35% or 541.42 points to reach 11,902.07 points this week compared to 12,443.49 points last week.

QE Al Rayan Islamic index declined 4.71% to reach 4,528.91 points, whereas QE All Share index lost 4.03% to 3,183.78 points

Trading volume jumped 54.50% to 151.8 million shares this week compared to 98.27 million shares last week, while turnover rose 57.04% to QAR 4.97 billion during the period compared to QAR 3.16 million.

The telecom sector led losers by 9.31%, followed by the real estate (-7.43%), industrials (-4.47%), consumer goods and services (-3.35%), banks and financial services (-3.05%) and transportation (-0.99%).

Aamal Company was the worst performer by 14%, while Qatar Insurance Company topped risers by 4.02%.

Ezdan Holding Group was the most active company with a trading volume reaching 87.6 million shares at a turnover of QAR 1.67 billion.
