Cairo – Mubasher: The board of landline operator Telecom Egypt (TE), in a meeting held Wednesday, named Mohamed Salem as chairman and Osama Yassin as CEO.
Earlier on Wednesday, Egypt’s Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahleb issued a decree that saw the appointment of new government representatives to the board of the state-owned landline monopoly.
The new board members are: Mohamed Salem, Tarek Abu Aalam, Khaled Sherif, Ahmed Abdel-Salam, El-Sayed El-Desouky, Osama Yassin and Iskandar Teema.
The appointment will be effective starting 27 May until the end of the current term, according to the government’s official statement.
