Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) appointed on 15 June J.P. Morgan, Gulf International Bank (GIB) and National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) as financial advisors for Alba’s Line 6 Expansion Project.

It is noteworthy that the major aluminum smelters approved, during its extraordinary general meeting held on 10 June, the Line 6 Expansion Project which will make it the largest single site smelter in the world upon completion.

The Project is projected to begin production in early 2019 to boost Alba’s per-annum production by 514,000 metric tonnes upon full ramp-up, bringing its total production capacity to approximately 1,450,000 metric tonnes per year.
