Muscat Securities Market’s (MSM) main index, MSM30, rose 0.07% or 4.45 points to close at 6,429 points on Wednesday, backed by the financial sector. MSM Sharia Index gained 0.10% to reach 993.52 points.

The financial sector added 0.33% to top gainers, while the services sector led the decliners with a 0.44% fall.

Today’s turnover amounted to OMR 3.236 million, as trading volume reached 14.425 million shares which were traded through 1,214 transactions.

Phoenix Power was the day’s winner as it climbed 2.26%, while Oman Investment and Finance led the decliners, slumping 9.75%.

Phoenix Power was most active stock of the day, as 8.12 million shares were traded with a total value of OMR 1.21 billion.
