Doha-Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) saw a positive performance on Thursday, ending higher 0.60% or 71.98 points to close at 12,121.08 points.

QE All Share index rose 0.50% to 3,240.7 points, whereas QE Al Rayan Islamic index gained 0.28% to reach 4,702.01 points.

Trading volume reached 4.5 million shares which exchanged through 2,476 transactions at a total of QAR 299.26 million.

The insurance sector topped gainers as it added 1.04%, followed by banks and financial services (+0.67%), telecom (+0.57%), real estate (+0.57%), and industrials (+0.56%).

The transportation sector fell 0.65%, while consumer goods and services sector lost 0.50%.

Gulf Warehousing Company climbed 2.16% to lead risers, while QG Medical Services topped the losers with a decline of 2.26%.

Barwa Real Estate was the most active company with trading volume reaching 796,770 shares valued at QAR 41.8 million.

Qatar National Bank came on top of the value chart, with 274,750 shares traded at QAR 52.26 million.
