QSE turns to red in Ramadan’s 2nd week

Doha-Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended the second week of Ramdan in red, slipping 0.10% or 12.15 points to reach 12,121.08 points.

QE All Share index gained 0.06% to 3,240.70 points compared to 3,238.62 points, whereas QE Al Rayan Islamic index added 0.72% to reach 4,702.01 points compared to 4,736.11 points.

The real estate sector was the top loser as it dropped 2.36%, followed by transportation, consumer goods and services, and telecom sectors at 0.60%, 0.40% and 0.15%, respectively.

The banks and financial services sector advanced 0.93%, while the industrial sector levelled up 0.70%.

Today’s top gainer was Ahli Bank  which added 6.52%, while Ezdan Holding Group led decliners, retreating 4.32%.

Ezdan Holding Group was the most active company with trading volume reaching 6 million shares estimated at QAR 107.79 million.

Qatar National Bank was the value leader, upon generating QAR 220.68 million from exchanging 1.17 million shares.

Trading volume reached 26.36 million shares which exchanged through 14,007 transactions, totalling QAR 1.3 billion.
