Saudi Tadawul rises; liquidity slips by SAR2.6bn

Riyadh – Mubasher: Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) ended Thursday on a positive note, rising 0.35% or 32.07 points to close at 9,136.34 points.

Accordingly, the index extended the rally to the third successive day, adding 0.84% or 76.4 points.

Traded value and volume decreased remarkably, as turnover fell by SAR 2.6 billion to SAR 5.7 billon, from SAR 8.3 billion recorded yesterday.

Traded volume also dropped by 30% to 158.5 million shares from 227 million shares.

Sectors were divided between the green and red territories. Seven sectors were in green, including banks (+1.26%), petrochemical industries (+0.14%) and real estate development (+0.08%).

Meanwhile, eight other sectors were in red, led by multi-investment (-1.15%), then media and publishing (-0.74%). Telecoms also went down by 2.3%, snapping a two-day rise.

53 stocks moved higher, topped by BSF that gained 3.66%, followed by SASCO (+3.19%), NCB (+3.13%). On the flipside, 68 stocks moved lower, led by Salama (-8.24)%, then Trade Union (-3.64%) and Saudi Real Estate (-3.27%).
