The benchmark index of Muscat Securities Market turned negative after starting Sunday in rise, as MSM30 dropped 0.15% or 9.55 points to close at 6,434 points.

Sharia index inched down 0.20% or 7.98 points to end the day at 991.52 points.

The financial sector topped the gainers by 0.03% while services sector led the decliners by 0.22%.

Today’s turnover amounted to OMR 4.259 million, as trading volume reached 19.824 million shares that were traded through 1,275 transactions.

Al Sharqiya Investment Holding was the winner by 4.96%, while Oman Cement was the top loser by 0.76%.

Phoenix Power was the most active stock, on which 7.071 million shares were traded with a total value of OMR 1.074 billion.
