QSE ends in red, loses 110 pts

Doha-Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) witnessed a bearish performance on Sunday, reaching the lowest level since 18 June.

QE index lost 0.93% or 113.07 points to close at 12,008.01 points.

Trading volume reached 2.59 million shares exchanged through 1,712 transactions, at a turnover of QAR 97.67 million.

The industrial sector declined 1.13%, followed by the insurance (+1.06%), banks and financial services (+0.96%), real estate (+0.94%) and transportation (+0.65%).

The telecom sector was the only gainer by 0.22%, backed by Ooredoo which added 0.82%.

Ahli Bank was the worst performer, losing 6.12%, while Qatar Islamic Insurance Co was the top riser, gaining 1.34%.

Barwa Real Estate was the most active company with trading volume reaching 417,800 shares at QAR 21.76 million.
