Mubasher: The inflation rate in the GCC region ranged between -0.40% in Oman to 4.32% in the UAE during May 2015 compared with the same month of 2014, said the Statistical Centre for the Cooperation Council for the Arab Countries of the Gulf (GCC-Stat).

The UAE recorded the biggest inflation rate of 4.32% year-on-year, followed by Kuwait (3.32%), Bahrain (2.4%), Saudi Arabia (2.1%) and Qatar (0.87%). Meanwhile, Oman recorded a decline in its inflation rate by 0.40% compared with the same month of 2014.

On a monthly basis, Qatar recorded a slight rise of 0.56%, followed by the UAE (0.27%), Bahrain and Saudi Arabia (0.2% each) and Kuwait (0.07%). Meanwhile, Oman’s inflation fell by 0.04% compared with April.
