The benchmark index of Muscat Securities Market (MSM) started Wednesday trades in the green zone to settle at 6,558 points after inching up 0.03% or 2.06 points at 10:30 am Muscat time.
The financial and services sectors rose 0.06% and 0.05% respectively, backed by Bank Nizwa stock which grew 1.35% to OMR 0.075.
MSM’s industrial sector leveled down 0.06%, dragged by Al-Anwar Holding which fell 0.89%.
Until 10:30 am, turnover amounted to nearly 297,500 as about 896,300 shares were traded through 79 transactions.
