Muscat Securities in red on all-sector decline

Muscat Securities Market’s MSM30 ended Wednesday in red, as all sectors declined pushing the main index to settle at 6,555.87 points after inching lower 0.01% or 0.87 points.

MSM Sharia Index closed at 993.12 points as compared to 993.11 points on Tuesday.

Market capitalization decreased to OMR 15.19 billion ($39.32 billion) from OMR 15.20 billion ($39.34 billion).

The industrial, financial, and services sector fell 0.18%, 0.09%, and 0.03% respectively.

Today’s turnover amounted to OMR 4.46 million ($11.54 million), as 13.1 million shares were traded via 754 transactions.

Bank Nizwa topped the gainers, adding 1.35%, while Bank Muscat led the losers with drop of 0.71%.

Phoenix Power traded 2.18 million shares valued at OMR 1.06 million, making it the day’s most active stock.
