Doha-Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) witnessed a bearish performance on Thursday, closing below the 11,800-point level.
QE index lost 0.31% or 36.95 points to reach 11,785.22 points. Al Rayan Islamic index fell 0.63% to reach 4,612.87 points, whereas QE All Share index levelled down 0.31% to 3,158 points.
The market saw trading of 4.42 million shares through 3,596 transactions, with turnover of QAR 193.80 million.
The telecom sector led decliners after losing 1.99%, pressured by Vodafone Qatar and Ooredoo which fell 2.36% and 1.83%, respectively.
The banking and financial services sector was the only gainer with 0.26%, due to a 4.34% rise in Ahli Bank.
The real estate sector retreated 0.21% as Zad Holding Group went down 1.87%.
Ahli Bank topped gainers, increasing 4.34%, while Gulf International Services (GIS) was the worst performer after declining 3.50%.
Vodafone Qatar was the most active company with trading volume reaching 728,900, while GIS was the value leader, upon generating QAR 21 million.
