Cairo-Mubasher: The World Bank approved lending Egypt a loan worth $550 million to finance the sustainable sewage services in three governorates, Dakahlia, Al Sharqia and Beheira, said Asad Alam, the bank's country director for Egypt, Yemen and Djibouti.

The project aims to improve the sewage services for more than 800,000 people living in these governorates.

Service improvement is one of the strategic support provided by the bank to Egypt, Asad said, adding that the project will help improve the standard of living for the Egyptians living in such areas.
