UAE-Mubasher: The UAE fuel stations will start selling gasoline and diesel at the new prices as of Saturday, in line with the decision of the fuel price committee.
The committee set the price of diesel at AED 2.05 per litre for August, down 29% or 85 fils compare with AED 2.9 previously.
The 95 octane petrol (special grade) across fuel stations in the UAE will cost AED 2.14 per litre, up 24.4% from the AED 1.72 per litre previously.
The super grade of petrol (98 octane) will cost AED 2.25, and A plus (91 octane) will cost AED 2.07.
Analysts told Mubasher that the decision will encourage the GCC countries to follow suit of the UAE amid the continued decline in global energy prices since mid-2014.
