QSE rises 3.08% for 3rd session

Doha-Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed in the green on Thursday, as a rise in all sectors suggested a three-session gaining streak. The market added 3.08% or 337.84 points to reach 11,295.46 points.

Al Rayan Islamic index gained 2.38% to reach 4,349.59 points, whereas QE All Share index levelled up 2.95% to stand at 3,013.33 points.

The market has seen 7,445 transactions being carried out as trading volume reached 11.35 million shares, hitting turnover of QAR 485.5 million ($131.07 million).

The telecom sector was the best performer after adding 4.17%, backed by Ooredoo which gained 4.24%.

The real estate sector advanced 2.10% due to a1.59% increase in Ezdan Holding Group.

The banking and financial services sector grew 3.87%, backed by Qatar National Bank which rose 5.55%.

Medicare Group came on the top of rising stocks after growing 5.65%, while Gulf Warehousing Company led losers with a fall of 2.06%.

Gulf International Services saw 1.63 million shares being exchanged, topping the actives in terms of volume, as well as generated QAR 97 million to become in lead in terms of turnover.
