Dubai – Mubasher: European equities deepened their losses till Friday’s mid-session, shrugging off a rise in the Eurozone’s current account above estimates.
FTSE 100 Index shed more than 1.1%, after it lost 0.1% at open. Meanwhile, German DAX sagged 2.8% to 9,943 points and French CAC fell by 2.37%.
Italy’s FTSE MBI went down by 2.09% to 21,638, an Spain’s IBEX lost 20.8% to 9,896 points.
The Eurozone current account rose in July to EUR 22.6 billion, compared with estimates of EUR 21.3 billion, and against EUR 24.9 billion in June.
