Riyadh-Mubasher: Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Monday in the green, with the benchmark rising 1.23% or 90 points to reach the 7,461 level; thus, recording the biggest daily gains since 9 September.
A total of 158,000 shares changed hands through over 77,000 trades at a turnover of SAR 3.69 billion.
The bourse got a boost from the petrochemical industries sector which climbed 1.6%.
All sectors moved higher, topped by hotels which soared 2.87%, followed by industrial investment which was up 2.41%. The retail sector ranked third, adding 2.35%.
Out of the 166 stocks traded today, 147 rose spearheaded by Saudi Cable and MESC which rocketed 9.93% and 9.90% in a row.
On the negative side, 16 stocks declined, led by Halwani Bro. which fell 1.86%. Petro Rabigh had the second-worst showing, dropping 1.23%.
