Cairo – Mubasher: European stock markets opened on a strong note Wednesday, backed by mining stocks and commodity prices.

By 9:00GMT, Eurofirst index rose 0.8%, while FTSE index, CAC and DAX advanced by 0.7%, 0.5% and 0.8%, respectively.

BHP Billiton mining stock rose 5.6% after copper and aluminium prices grew by 1% and 2% in a row.
