Dubai-Mubasher: Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) awarded contracts worth AED 59 million in the third quarter of 2015 to boost district cooling services operations across Dubai.

The signed contracts are part of a plan to expand the company’s operations, which currently account for 70% of the district cooling market in Dubai, according to Empower CEO Ahmed bin Shafar.

Empower has long term contracts, some of which are designed to enhance the production for the coming 25 years, CEO said, adding that the company is ready to meet the future needs that might be required in mega projects across the emirate.

The company has a capacity reaching 1 million refrigeration tons, enabling it to provide services to major real estate projects such as Jumeirah Group, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai International Financial Centre, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Dubai World trade Centre Residences and others.
