Dubai-Mubasher: The Nigeria-listed Access Bank UK, 100% owned subsidiary of the Nigerian Access Bank, announced opening of a representative office in Dubai to attract investment to mainly Nigeria and other parts of Africa.

On the sidelines of a press conference held at the Dubai International Financial Centre, the bank added that it is the first time to open an office in the Middle East, according to a statement.

The new office will continue to serve the bank’s existing clients in the UAE, the bank’s chairman Herbert Wigwe said, adding that UAE investments in Nigeria are expected to boost in the coming years.

The bank is considering the possibility of expansion into Gulf markets, added Wigwe.
