Cairo-Mubasher: Gold prices declined on Monday as the date of raising the U.S. interest rate approached.

At 11:15 GMT, gold fell 0.6% in London to $1096.1 per ounce.

The Federal Reserve is expected to raise the interest rate for the first time in nearly 10 years.
